U-Haul Moving & Storage of Waterbury

Made a reservation online Saturday to have a hitch installed drove all the way to the store only to be told they didn't have an installer onsite. So I rescheduled for Monday @8am only to wait 2 hrs for the Installer to finally show up to work for a service I was told only takes 30 mins. 4 hours later im still here waiting. This is the most unpleasant and unprofessional experience. Unluckily I need the hitch installed asap or I would have canceled.

Outstanding Service.nWe received the best service from an associate named Mr.Nester Torres.nHe was professional, knowledgeable and most importantly patient.nHe went above and beyond my expectations.nThank you Uhaul for hiring Mr. Torres he makes the company shine.nThank you.

Literally one of my worst ever experiences with a business.nMy husband scheduled a hitch installation appointment using the online scheduler. Everything went through fine and the money was withdrawn from our account.nWhen I brought the car for the service there was only one poor beleaguered young man on staff who informed me, nearly in tears, that he could not provide me with services as he was the only person there at all, and he further did not have the appropriate parts.nHe supposedly refunded my money at that time (with some difficulty).nI then called customer service and 45 minutes later only had a promise of a phone call from the manager of the store for the following day (Friday) to find a way to rectify the situation.nNo call.nIt is now Sunday, still no call and we have found that our money was never refunded.nDo not use this uhaul they will screw you and not even care that they did!!!nnUpdate: after spending the majority of the day on the phone attempting to reach various managers, being hung up on by staff at this uhaul and having them SHUT THE PHONES OFF my husband finally had to threaten to call the police and better business bureau while speaking with customer service. (And had to arrange his own replacement appointment at a different location)nAt 3pm he finally received a call from a manager who informed him that the new appointment would be paid for by his location and that our money would be refunded within 3-5 business days.nStill wouldn't recommend this place to anyone as it never should have come to this or taken this much work and stress.

This U-Haul provides badly needed services to area residents as it makes available different types of trucks for rental, including mini Vans and pickup trucks... excellent staff.

I'm upgrading them to 2 stars. I had made an appointment to get a trailer hitch installed. Show up: no parts no availability of labor. I then had a lot of trouble talking to them to find a solution over the next few days. I did finally get it resolved and the hitch with installation was comped. So I'm happy with the end and they made things right but it was a bit of an ordeal to get there.
