Nice small cemetery near the ocean. Don't confuse this cemetery with the other in Old Saybrook. They are both named Cypress Cemeteries.nnThe older section is the southern part with an active section loop around to the north. The headstones and memorials in the older section is from the mid 1800's. There are several brownstone, granite, and a slate headstone. Included in the mix of memorials is an interesting block memorial. A simple geometric shape as the standing piece for the family plot.nnThe lone mausoleum is down a small path closer to the water. The path is located in the older section. The stone walls and the view are spectacular.nnThe only distraction is that someone or group placed stickers on the veteran headstones and memorials. They should of found a better method of distinguishing these markers.
