Frank and Sam are both =EXPERTS= at music and musical instruments. Frank fixed up my guitar when it was buzzing like a drunken bee all over the place. He fixed the action in the neck and made it sound =A GAZILLION= times better =PLUS= he fixed the electronics. To top it off they have ultra cool records, musical instruments and anything anyone could ever want in a music store. They give you a fair price, and they're the greatest at giving everyone (from young to old) the gift of music.
Has music equipment and vinyl records, good prices and hard to find things, a very friendly owner also
Very knowledgeable people here, many beautiful guitars and equipment for solid prices, offer lessons too, I'm going to call and schedule because I love the staff!
This place broke my guitar and tried to say it was already broken when I brought it in. poor customer service!!Ipaid them to break my guitar basically.i wouldn't recommend anyone to go there.i couldnt even get an apology. I would recommend going anywhere but there.dont have them fix your instruments. They sell knockoff used guitars,definitely not like other places I've been to.its like going to a used junk tag sale.very unprofessional.go to George's music,or the music shop in torrington where you can expect quality workmanship and honesty.
A positive experience with the Owner & the insight extremely Positive .A Nurtured Ability & Skill was more than Apparent. My 9 year old granddaughter is now a new Student for Guitar at Mad River Music.She feels excited to be having lessons & comfortable after meeting Mr. Frank. She went home with homework & Already learned by heart half of what she was given to work on ! I'm proud of her & Very Happy to have found Mad River Music!
