Iowa Sit and Sleep

I purchased a couch from Iowa Sit and Sleep in early August. At the time of purchase I was told that there may be a slight delay in shipping and that I would receive the couch no later than the end of August. At the end of August I had received no communication from the store regarding my couch, so I called to check on the status of it. I was then told that there was an additional delay and I should receive it by mid September. It is now mid September and I had still not received the couch or any communication from the store.nnWhen I called again I was told that the couch will be in on September 28th, 7 weeks after I purchased it.nnIn an effort to explain the delay, I was told that the store had had items ordered in June that they have not received yet due to delays with the parent company. This means that when I purchased my couch there was already a delay of arty least 5 weeks to get orders, but I was initially told 3 weeks delay at most. This along with never being contacted about the repeated delays to my order has left a bad taste in my mouth. I would have gone to another store if I had been told an actual estimate for delivery.nnDo not trust any estimates given by the staff as they will be incorrect and in my experience they find it acceptable to take your money and not bother to get in contact with you to correct their mistakes. Making an effort and reaching out to give me updates would have made the situation better. I understand that they are in a hard place with their parent company, but they took no action to mitigate this(telling customers that their orders are delayed).
