The team was on time, very professional, easy to work with, they worked quickly and accurately, I had a couple of hard to move pieces, they put their heads together and came up with a way! Everything was handled carefully. Everything arrived in really good condition. I would use them again!

I will never tell anyone not to support a business but I dont recommend this company at all and I would never use them again. I paid my down-payment Jun31 and requested a COI at that time. The move was scheduled for pickup on Jul 20 or 21...exactly they couldn't give me an exact date. Then I had to call every day leading up to the date not only for the COI but to find out what day they were coming. I called twice that morning then a half hour before arriving I was told they were coming and I still had NO COI. Well it kept rolling downhill from there. It took them 2 weeks to deliver my items from Miami to DC. They offered no explanation except they are waiting to schedule a driver. I always had to call them. They offer no reason as to why they can't schedule except they give you a window and still delivered my items outside of that window. I have moved before put of state and never experienced any thing like Colonial. I will never recommend them and I will never use them again...ever. they are the absolute worst.

I have used them twice and both times were excellent experiences. The movers were kind and did their best to stay with in the time that I wanted to pay. I would use them again

I finally have the change to sit and let everybody know the bad experience that I had with this company Colonial. The worse mover company experience ever. This was our third move in the last four years and we made the big mistake to change the previous one company that we used for this one. Same quantity of furniture and less driving distance take us 12 total hours; this time took us two days (16 hours) plus three more hours of an additional day. They sent us three people every day, the first day one of them was new and he didn't have any idea how to move and carry a piece of furniture, he damaged all the stairs walls plus the furniture, the other one was the driver, he didn't do anything at all, very lazy and when I complained to him the last day he was very disrespectful. They damaged few of my antique furniture and they didn't put back together other ones.nI would never use them again and I advise you not to used them as well, they are the absolute worst.

Nobody came to view the items that we need packed or moved to provide an accurate weight estimate and man power needed to complete the move. An owner assumed we were lying or misleading the company and did not take ownership of his mistakes or lack of due diligence. We had three quotes from moving companies which included an in person or virtual tour of our apartment. Colonial Movers gave us a quote over the phone.nnThey had to pay more money to employees to pack, move and store items in their warehouse before packing on a truck. The owners did not communicate with the “lead” or driver which could have provided an accurate estimate of time needed and progress of the packing/move. Colonial did speak to their employees whom fabricated the estimated time and manpower needed to get paid more money. Colonial Movers didn’t inventory all the items that were moved with a numbered sticker, didn’t accurate label fragile items so they would be loaded in appropriate location were they wouldn’t break in truck and didn’t use the proper packing materials on fragile items to protect them.nnI cannot tell you how frustrating it is to do business with companies that are so bottom line driven, that they lack the common customer service, communication and business procedures to provide adequate services to the people they are supposed to serve. I am not sure if they have the infrastructure or business acumen needed to adjust to changed dates, family medical emergencies or misquoted weight to handle long distance/out of state moves. I may not use them for large local/regional moves because, I am not sure if the employees care enough to provide basic or quality service because they want to make more money but cannot because they have 3-5 moving jobs each day, which lowers the owners expenses and possibly adds more revenue to the business that doesn’t provide them with benefits, which was what multiple employees expressed to me.
