Visiting my son this week in Virginia... Impressed is not even enough to explain the impression that Geissler's Fruit and Vegetable Department has on me... It's absolutely beautiful if I may say. No kidding either, it looks just like those markets I've seen on that Market race show. Crazy clean, neat, heck... I'm pretty sure it was rainbow coordinated! Family ran business, always employ a lot of EW students. With the pandemic felt much more comfortable going to smaller store rather than large chain store. Very very friendly staff and have good variety of groceries, have an excellent deli and pre made dinners. Good sea food. Now I go there all time not returning to chain stores. A few convenient locations, one by my work and one by home.
Got some vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream to go with pumpkin pie. Sister loves working there
Geissler's has always been a higher-end grocery store. They have fantastic produce and their weekly sales are great.
Nice little store. The kind you don't see that much anymore. Prices may be a bit higher but it's a small co. That has been around forever.
