a New Beginning, an AVEDA Salon and Day Spa

A New Beginning salon is a pleasant place to have salon servies. All employees are professional, friendly and eager to assist. I am always pleased when I leave and I have been coming here for about 12 years. They offer a complete menu of great hair and spa services. The salon is clean, inviting and a peaceful place to relax. Carol the owner runs a great business and everyone working there has adopted her caring and professional manners.

I am so happy to call A New Beginning my hair salon. They are extremely professional and caring. Now with Covid, they follow all precautions. Jess is my stylist and she is really fantastic. I previously left a five star review for this salon. I had been there once post Covid and had a good experience. I did get home and notice several chunks of hair that were 4 or so inches longer than the rest, which I had to cut myself... But I just chalked that up to the new experience of hair cutting with a mask on.nMy last experience however, was very different. I explained to the stylist that I wanted the same color and was happy with my length/was growing it out and only wanted the ends cleaned up (it was only 8 weeks since having a substantial cut so it really should have been less than half an inch). I don’t think the color processed long enough bc once it was washed out the stylist told me that they had decided to go a shade lighter for me, the color was fine so I didn’t say anything. The real problem comes from the cut. My hair was past my bra line and is now grazing the top of my collar bone, barely past shoulder length. I lost at least four inches. I also have layers that are shorter than my ears leading to awful frizz and a “mushroom cut” effect. My hair will not go up in a ponytail or braid, which is awful for me considering I work in animal medicine and am a runner/hiker. I contacted guest services about all of this and received a very curt response that they would cancel my next appointment. For the price you pay at this salon, there should be some consideration for the clients hair goals.nThe haircut was not at all what I was looking for, but this review is really for the poor customer service.

I truly love this salon. I've been getting my hair cut and highlighted by Courtney for about 9 months so far and I can't say enough great things about her skills and how pleasant she is. The staff are all friendly and helpful, well-trained and knowledgable. Aveda products are of course fantastic. Highly recommend!

My 6 year old daughter and I have been going to this salon for 3 years and have been very happy with their service!
