Parking us a nightmare. Decent bargains, but limited selection.

30 minute shopping spree well worth it $320 later always a great deal....

I've been a member here since it opened but my overriding impression lately is that it's been going downhill. In recent experiences at both the pharmacy and the tire center I found some of the the staff to be disrespectful and outright rude, although others were generally helpful and pleasant. These attitude problems among those certain associates need to be addressed. Also the new self-checkout option is virtually a joke with the staff being allowed to only scan large items, but no hand held scanner being provided so a member can quickly do the rest, requiring the member to lift each item over the counter scanner, including ready to eat food items which shouldn't be turned over in their containers without making a mess of the contents, but none of the staff seemed to care saying they're instructed not to do that. This reflects poorly not just on the local managers which I suspect the store would benefit from them being replaced, but also on management at the corporate level. All they need to do is visit a Sam's Club where the self checkout option is light years ahead of Costco's, with customer convenience clearly being the predominant concern.

Avoid going to this Costco during peak hours, the parking can be pretty bad (much of it due to people who will hold up a row of cars while they wait for several minutes for someone to finish loading their car and vacate a good parking spot - I guess they feel it's worth holding up a bunch of people to save 30 seconds of additional walking. But I digress.)nnGoing first thing in the morning (e.g. get there 5 min before opening) or about an hour before closing makes for a much better experience (just don't be the person who prevents them from closing on time).nnThis Costco doesn't have Fuel or Alcohol, but given the parking situation, that's probably for the best.
