Superb bakery and great owner. Definitely worth the stop when driving by. Delicious creations, although pricey. Great breads. Awesome coffee shop right next door, and a great place to sit outside and enjoy it all.

Delicious baked goods, made fresh by great people. Order the night before for pickup the next day, because if you sleep in, you might miss what you want. Anything brioche or croissant is killer, and definitely try the bomboloni.

Absolutely phenomenal! Everything we had was super delicious! The best sourdough bread we've had. Doughnuts tasted amazing!

When I was growing up in New Haven, every Sunday after Mass, we used to go to a little bakery near Wooster Square. We'd pick up a loaf of bread fresh out of the oven. I didn't know how lucky I was. I just took it for granted. Flour Water Salt Bread took me back to those days. A finely crafted gourmet bread is not so far from the finely crafted peasant bread of my youth. Although God forgive me, this bread might be better. Darien, you don't know how lucky you are.

I can't say enough good things about this place. They make the best sourdough bread I've ever had! They also make pizza here on Fridays, which I intend to try as soon as possible. I also order their ham and gruyere pinwheel here and they make the BEST coffee cake you will ever sink your teeth into, guaranteed.nnI happen to have a gluten sensitivity and decided to try the products here after reading few articles about how the process of fermenting the sourdough batter breaks down most of the gluten. I've personally not experienced any digestive issues with the food here, which I am elated to report, though it's important to mention this was my own decision and no one from the establishment has encouraged me to do so. So, if you are gluten intolerant or allergic like me, use your own discretion. It's worked out perfectly fine for me and I will be a returning customer and love purchasing food here to bring to friends and family too!
