Monte is THE BEST! I’ve worked with him for over 20 years now. Always the highest quality. He is innovative, smart and a VALUE. He is able to create from scratch based off of a sketch or even an idea. He is able to lovingly restore a traditional piece to its former beauty as well as master an iconic mid-century or contemporary piece. Monte was so helpful with recommendations and did a great job on my chaise. It came out beautifully and frankly, I like it better than when I originally bought it. I had a hard time finding someone who didn’t want months to do the work. His timing and pricing was fair and his craftsmanship was precise with thoughtful additions (like sliding clips so I could flip the cushion). I highly recommend!!
We brought 10 chairs made in ~1890 to Monte; my mother had made needlepoint seats 50 years ago. Monte cleaned the seats, added padding, put a new border around the seat, cleaned and reinforced the chairs--great job, very fair price and on time. The chairs look spectacular. Plus Monte gave a very interesting history of the chairs and woodworking in general
Monte is amazing at his craft. True attention to detail, he offers great suggestions from his many years at the business. I use him for all my upholstery needs.
