The experience I had with Lomax has put us in a horrible situation for the past 2 months. We went in to purchase vinyl floors. We picked something out and we told the sales person we were installing it ourselves and ready to get started immediately because we were going to be listing our house. We needed 1600 sf of flooring and he said he would need 2 weeks to get it in. We said OK, paid almost $8700 in full and went home and pulled up all of our flooring to get ready for the new floors. The flooring never came in and we called multiple times only to be put off with new dates each time. It is now 8 weeks later and we've been living on subfloors for 2 months. Last we were told, the floors would be in yesterday. I had to call again this morning and now wait until 2pm today for an answer. Not once did Lomax reach out to us to tell us of a delay. We are now 2 months behind and still waiting. In hindsight, this sales person was willing to tell us whatever we wanted to hear to make the sale and no one seems to care how it has affected our lives these past 2 months.
I've always purchased my carpets from Lomax in Pottstown. I recently had a need to purchase new carpet for my finished basement after my water heater malfunctioned and destroyed everything in my man cave. Recently went in on a Saturday and while it was pretty busy I had the complete attention of a very knowledgeable salesman who listened intently to what I was looking for and showed me a few samples of items I liked. Salesman said let me show you a very similar product in the same color that was on sale and his suggestion saved me several hundred dollars. When is the last time that as salesman, any salesman had your best interests in mind. I don't recall it happening ever to me. These salesman are obviously trained by management to not always go after the last dollar. It left a lasting impression on me. One of the Assistant Managers Dominic at the Pottstown store made it a point to come over to us after we had made our selection and finished ordering to hand us his business card and said if there were any other questions or if he could be of service in any way, please don't hesitate to contact him. That is what I call customer friendly service.nThe quality of personnel has clearly been taken up a notch or two I highly recommend this company
A great job done by your salesman Richard and the manager was hands on thru our visits to Montgomeryville store. The installers came mask up and very professional. The carpet looks and feels great. Looking forward to doing business again soon. Stay safe! Thanks!
