The cold brew is the best I've ever had. It has a subtle lavender flavor and enhances the coffee perfectly. The pastries are absolutely delicious and the croissant breakfast sandwich is so good I could eat it every day. Their coffee and food is consistently delicious every time we go. You know how at some places it's good one day but then not so good the next? You won't have that issue at Shirlee Bird. Consistency is so rare and you'll get the same high quality every time here. The old smoke shop location is a perfect spot for this Cafe and it's setup nicely for the times we're living in. You wait outside and order at the door for social distancing safety. The service is top notch as well and quick.

I really can't recommend this place strongly enough. Shirlee is great, amazing baker, super friendly, always remembers her regular customers and what they order. The pastries and coffee are amazing, but don't forget to try things off the hot food menu. This is my favorite cafe in town.

This place is a gem, you may not see it from the outside as its tucked away in the courtyard area but when you enter let the pastries fill your olfactory glands with Pavlov-like yearning to eat everything there. Very friendly staff, quite a few options for a smaller venue. Excellent excellent excellent.nnMay be the best pastry I've ever had, raspberry danish

So glad to see that Shirlee Bird is still going strong. We love this place and were sad that we couldn't get to Bellingham from Idaho this summer for our month of hiking and stopping at Shirlee Bird for an after hike pastry. Everything we've had there has been delicious and talking with Shirlee and staff is always fun.

Shirlee wakes up at 3:45 am to bake delicious pastries for YOU! Go show this local gem some love- full of soul, great coffee, and good vibes. Will definitely return on my next visit to Bellingham.
