College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving

I highly recommend this business. We had to clean out my great uncle's house after he passed. We needed something immediately removed and it was not a pleasant job. The manager called me and was so kind and helpful. The workers communicated very well through text and calling. I accidentally gave them the wrong house number 3 times and they were very patient and understanding and not even frustrated with me. They were so reassuring and respectful to me during a difficult time.

College hunks removed a packed room worth of donations from my 2nd floor apartment in less than 30min and did so without making a mess of things. The service was friendly, and I was excited to find out that my junk removal will provide 2 free meals to hungry children. Would definitely recommend to anyone else also trying to downsize sustainably

My move was rescheduled at the last minute from 4-6 on a Monday to early the next day, I had to move a ton of my belongings myself, and “to save me money”, the manager sent one less person which actually ended up making the move take longer in my opinion (based on how little we had left to move). I asked the team to have the manager contact me, he never did. He just rescheduled me to the following day without a phone call or heads up. I found out through an email confirmation that made it seem like *I* requested a new date (I did NOT).nnThis delay has cost me at least an extra $100 dollars in fees to my old residence not to mention stress and pain from moving so much... which is exactly WHY I hired movers in the first place. I chose College Hunks on the recommendation of a friend and I can’t say that I will recommend this company to anyonennI also found a broken item that had been conveniently been placed facing a corner with boxes stacked on top of and around it, pretty deliberately to cover up the breakage. So there’s another $100 in replacement cost. I feel pretty duped by this company and the positive reviews placed for them. And by reading reviews on yelp, it looks like I’ll never see any money to remedy the late fees or my broken furniture. I’ll have to go through my bank to get that money back.nn*in fairness to the company- just in case they DO want to make it right, I called them and submitted a claim for the damaged items and my time/fees incurred. I will update upon resolution.
