Matt very has the tools and knows how to use them. Between the massive arsenal of gear on demand and the studio itself, you’ll be glad you chose this place over your basement. Even preferred to other studios this place is a cut above. Every room has been built from the ground up for its purpose (dry room, live room etc) A certain level of care and attention to detail flows through the studio and its creator. Matt managed to be one step ahead of me throughout the entire process. We’re all perfectionists with our art and it was such a relief to be able to just focus on the music. I brought my creations and he captured them masterfully. And in production, took them to new heights I never imagined possible. Turning them into true representations of my work that I’m proud of. Looking forward to working with Matt again soon!
Matt Very did an awesome job recording my band! The music sounded great, and he made the process easy and gave us great advice throughout. I was especially impressed by the way he tracked my vocals and worked through them with me.
Not only is Matt one of the most patient and passionate people I've come across, he has a beautiful space and is willing to work with you to achieve a product you're both very proud of. Very Tight Recordings is truly one of my favorite places in the world and by far the best studio in town.
Matt was an excellent communicator throughout the mixing and mastering process, open to new ideas and very receptive of our notes. This was our first time sending out material for both mixing and mastering out of house, and Matt's work gave our songs a new dimension while staying true to the sound in the room. We can't recommend his work highly enough, and expect it to result in no less than a Grammy. 5/5
The best place to record in Pittsburgh! Matt is a true expert and just an amazing person to work with. I return here again and again to record drums and they turn out incredible each and every time. I highly recommend Very Tight Recordings for first-rate service and a polished, professional sound.
