Cookie was delightful but it was disappointing that they were sold out of nearly everything 4 hours before closing.
Guy could not have been less welcoming. They were out of pretty much everything except some cookies and a vegetarian soup which he didn't even really want to tell me about, at all. But it was not about the food, it was about the horrid hospitality. Thank goodness Biddle's Cafe was open half a block away. I hope the owner reads this and fires that guy. He has no business serving anyone food anywhere.
Madeleine's is a must-stop when I visit Pittsburgh. This time I had the savory, kind-of spicy scone... Soooo good. They had all kinds of special orders for Thanksgiving week out waiting but had a few choices for those of us just walking in *thankful* Keep up the baking! You are a real treat.
I couldn't say enough great things about this bakery. If you live in the area and you haven't been here yet, what are you waiting for? I've not been disappointed by a single thing I've eaten from here. Their cold brew is AWESOME too. My favorite things are the chocolate croissants and their baguettes. Also, the sandwiches they make are all fantastic ❤ufe0f. Get here early if you can. They do sell out frequently. I have been told that you can call a day ahead and order pickup. They also have limited outdoor seating when it's nice out. They are also practicing safe social distancing and sanitizing practices. I swear, they wipe down surfaces every 5 minutes, lol. Go here now! Do it!
We just discovered this amazing bakery. The best cookie I ever had and amazing scones. Bread is delicious. We will definitely be back on a regular basis.
