I personally don't care much for it but my girlfriend loves it. The variety and quality makes it a great experience, with sweet and savory options to choose from. They're like taking a super market pastry and giving it a Hollywood makeover; bigger, better, special.

You can never go wrong here. Every time I've been here the people are so nice they explain everything they're just the bomb. I love this place absolutely love it I eat out at least 5 days a week and this is one of the bakeries that I enjoy coming to. Thank you

La Gourmandine is a treasure! The bread, pastries, sandwiches, quiche, and all baked goods are just of the highest European quality. The counter staff are welcoming, friendly, and respectful. They make it a pleasure to shop there in-person, even with covid-19 distancing. The quiche is light, fluffy, with a flaky, light crust. The sandwiches are generous, fresh, on the most wonderful french baguettes, and at a very reasonable cost. The shop is a delightful - I so enjoy the entering the store - the sights and smells are so appealing! Anyone visiting Pittsburgh should make a stop at La Gourmandine and take some wonderful items home to share with loved ones!

There is nothing better than a neighborhood French bakery here in the States. Might I say these pastries are worth the wait! It's a small business, so it can get a little crowded. You won't regret the wait!

I love their Frasier pastry, one of the best I have had. They have a pistachio eclairs which is equally good. Other than the above I have tried their peach cake, that is delicious. Definitely a great place for some baked stuff!
