Great little shop. We've been customers for a few years after a recommendation from a friend and instructor. Couldn't be happier. No nonsense. Dont try to upsell on stuff you dont need. Good quality product for a reasonable price. Setup is excellent. My boy loves playing his cello from Custom Strings Spokane. (and the shop-collie is super sweet)

The only place I trust with my violin!

Renting a violin for my 9 year old could not have been easier. As it's the start of the year, and every school has kids doing the same, they were busy, but got to us quickly and the process was painless. They answered all our questions and volunteered information I didn't even realize that we didn't know. I don't know much about stringed instruments, but they have a good sized selection, in addition to the rental inventory. The shop dog was a huge hit with my daughter.

I’ve been trying out violins to move from my current intermediate instrument to the next level for increased sound and resonance. I was SO impressed and am so thankful to Jay for his patience in letting me try out and play many of his mid-priced violins. He answered many questions and played several instruments for me so I could hear them from a distance. While I loved a Snow that he had, I didn’t feel I could spend that kind of money so I went with another instrument from Shar Music, for about a $1000 savings, but bought a case from Custom Strings. I fully intend to bring, and refer, future business to Jay. You can’t go wrong with going to Custom Strings for advice and anything string related!
