TLDR: Didn’t treat my bass with respect, and didn’t fix the problem I brought it in for. Overcharged for what they did do.nnI bought a new (unbranded) jazz bass for only $15 because it had a problem with the pickups. From what I could tell, they were out of phase and needed to be rewired. I didn’t know how to do it myself, so I took it to Guitar Maniacs to troubleshoot and fix it. I also had them do a setup and new strings.nThey did the setup, but didn’t fix the pickups. When I asked what they did to fix them, I was told that the wires were soldered correctly, and if it sounded bad it’s because it’s a cheap guitar, and I shouldn’t expect much.nWhen I got home it still had the problem, so I did some searching online and figured out how to fix it myself. It sounds great now - even better than I expected. On the upside I now know how a bass guitar is wired. On the other hand I don’t appreciate having my gear denigrated and dismissed just because it was cheap.nThe setup is fine, but it wasn’t worth the $99 I paid for it.

Awesome shop, I have come here for over a decade. Many sought-after guitars, amps, and equipment here.
They say they are open but they are not! No Mention of anything on the website, thank you for not valuing your customers by not communicating!
Aptly named and I love it! Some of the instruments in here are pretty far out from far gone time periods and some are just beautiful. Lots of pieces with stories. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It’s worth checking out, but if you play you might find a really sweet deal as well because the owner is a talented buyer for quality vintage.
