Consulate General of Chile in Los Angeles

Today I had a terrible experience at Vancouver's consulate, the same document my husband did in Los Angeles last week, which I tipped one document for my husband and exactly the same for me to get AFP funds in Chile. In LA cost him US$5 and it was ready in 1 day but in Vancouver cost me US$35 ($47 Canadienses) and it was ready in one week. I was so upset! ... I congratulate this team, for me it is always easy to communicate (by email) and the documents are always on time.

Please use this email to make appointments. Also be clear to what your needs are. Appointments get book up quickly. Bathrooms are close by and the consulate is on the 5th floor. I learned the hard way.

Today my son headed to the consulate to renew his passport. Unfortunately he didn't know he was supposed to make an appointment, since Covid19 hit us. Despite of it, they did accept his application (since as always, they didn't have anyone on the waiting room)nAs expected he was treated poorly by on of their employees. Making him feel like at home. What is it gonna take for them to treat their fellow chilean citizens better.nShame on them

Really bad customer service, people waiting and waiting... They don’t answer, they do not help, they are mad...

If I go in now will I be able to get my passport and ID even with the shelter in place order?
