This review is an update to my previous 1 star review about the Australian Consulate-General in Los Angeles.nnSo, after several emails going back and forth they finally got me a spot (Appointment) to renew my passport which I gladly accepted.nnWhen I arrived at the consulate, the office was pretty empty. One of their staff who attended to me was actually very nice and helpful. The process was really quick and probably took anywhere between 5-7 minutes only.nnIf you can't get them on the phone, just email them and they'll definitely respond back quickly.nnPlease continue to improve on your service especially to your fellow Australians. This review will change my previous 1 star rating to three star.nnPrevious review;nnI had a very poor and alarming experience with the Australian consulate in Los Angeles. Incredibly inefficient and lazy! (They’re either not working… or in the office drinking…). I’ve been trying to book appointment on their website for months and still can’t find a spot. So, I went ahead and emailed them to explain my situation. However, they responded and requested that I keep trying to book my appointment on their website when it constantly displays “No Slots Available”.nnWhat a big joke this is!nnYour staff aren’t paid to sit and crack jokes… you’re paid to work and provide awesome service to your fellow Australians. This is horrible treatment in an already stressful time that no one deserves.nnGet your act together and do your job right!

Quick and easy passport renewal here

Quick and easy passport renewal. Was 30 mins early but was taken immediately, in and out in 10 mins. Make sure to get a visitors pass in the lobby. Park in the mall about a block away if you don't mind walking, its way cheaper than the parking provided.

I wasn't the only one that had a hard time getting what's needed. Front desk girl was not professional and respectful, she tried to just send me away after making my appointment weeks in advance and communicating about my paperwork, passport needs. Thankfully she finally listened after we had to stop her to listen to us. Rude girl, told my husband to calm down. Hello, maybe if she did her job and cared about her fellow Australians we won't have to be forceful.nnThe Notary guy is very polite, he deserves ⭐ufe0f⭐ufe0f⭐ufe0f⭐ufe0f. I hope she learns some etiquette and manners from him. Replace her if you can since two other Australians during my 2pm appointment were dissatisfied with her.

The sweet last at the front desk was awesome. The Finance lady was a different story. She was VERY condescending. She had the worst customer relation skills I have ever seen in my entire life. She made my family have a very bad experience with the Consulate. We got what we needed done but it could have been handled much better than it was. It took all our strength to not give her back the attitude she was throwing out. If it wasn't for the very kind front desk person I would have given 1 star. Because of her I will give a 3. If the other woman never came to the front desk, it would have been a 5.
