Consulate General of France in Los Angeles

I went last week to renew my French passport. My first time at the French consulate in Los Angeles was an amazing experience. Everyone in the Consulate was so nice and helpful! Great people working there for sure.

After appointment on line , I did a request for my daughter passeport.nWith all happens with restrictions of the Covid 19 I was expected to be challenging , but not all all service was so professional and patient with young children.nThe lady on charge was so professional and seriously helpful to all my démarche and beyond her job , follow with nice guidance email , really Nathalie Brillantes was outstanding. Merci encore !

So so happy we decided to try Lu do's Pest Tris last weekend. I was craving French food without the pretentiousness, just some classic simple French food that can sometimes be hard to get in a city that is all about reinventing food. And even if Ludo is himself a fan of contemporary modern food, this little cute spot tucked away in a strip mall brings back flavors that I haven't tasted in a long while.

When you can reach somebody they are very pleasant and helpful.nTheir telephone system is extremely annoying you wait and wait, get from number x to your turn so you can have the privilege to listen to a message stating you have to call later.

I had to renew my French passport. I had an appointment but had very low expectations having dealt with French bureaucracy too many times. To my surprise, the service was prompt and effective. I was in and out of the door within 35 minutes.nThe lady at the front was very nice and courteous and Christoph , the person who helped me with my request, was very kind, efficient and professional.nThere’s hope !nFew things I learned today.n-They’ll take your older passport at the end of the appointmentn- On the label you create, the sender address should not be the French consulate ( as they were charged for it in the past) . He advised to just write your own address as sender as well as receiver.nGood luck!
