It gives me no pleasure to write this review by any means, but since there is no other way to get this out there, I hope this gets attention and the consulate perhaps takes a good look at what is not working and fix it, specifically their receptionist.nMy son was trying to verify his Hungarian lineage and called 6 months ago and was given the form numbers to fill out and they made an appointment for him for September 3rd over the phone. Two weeks prior to that, they CALLED him on his cell phone and rescheduled with him once again OVER the phone for December 1st.nDecember 1st, he showed up for his appointment, just to be told by a rude receptionist that he doesn't have an appointment because he doesn't have it in writing.nIf they needed it in writing, why didn't they tell him that 6 months ago...or why did they call him in August and rescheduled with him over the phone? It just doesn't make sense and to top it off, the receptionist was rude to him in person and on the phone as well from the beginning. I have read a few reviews and it seems the receptionist needs a little chat on how to treat people. The consulate is open a couple of days a week for a few hours at a time. My son waited patiently for 6 months for his appointment and got treated like dirt at this consulate's office.

I requested an expedited appointment to have my signature notarized (not more than five minutes process) and they gave an appointment more than 6 weeks away from the time I requested it. I called and wrote again and finally was able to get an appointment within 2 days. I guess, to get a sooner appointment, one must state specifically the hardship in order for them to grant you the expedited appointment.

I tried to call, non of the listed phone numbers work; then tried to send email to the listed address, came back : not exists....????????nVery interesting, Not really...how could I contact with someone on this consulate?…
