Conditions are beyond horrible, no excuse why they can't take care of cemetery . So sad family members loved ones are in unkempt conditions. The city of Shelton should be so embarrassed as it reflects on the City. No other cemetery has a lack of pride in a final resting place. So many weeds and unmowed lawn, we have to maintain our parents plot ourselves so its a decent final resting place. We understand its a nonprofit entity but the city or someone needs tonassist in the maintenance.
Seriously, you have got to be joking. There is one square of nice green plush freshly mowed lawn. The rest of the lawn is brown and dead. How dare you guys be so disrespectful. What do the staff get paid for I'd really like to know? But the square that appears to have new headstones looks great. That hurts my stomach.
I’ve many many family members and friends buried here and it’s disgusting how it’s been neglected.
We went to the Shelton Memorial Park as we have done for many years. The park and landscaping is in terrible condition. I realize the park is funded by private donation but their is no excuse for not keeping the lawns and es clean for the internment of our family. The sprinkler system is not working. This is Memorial Day week end and as of Friday the only area that was mowed was the veterans site. Terrible slap in the face of all the family. Very disappointed if we knew they did not know how to use lawn mow I would of brought my push mow and mowed around our family sites. I understand people get sick or have accidents and cannot complete their jobs. In that case the manager should be contracting to get the site cleaned up until people they hire can do the job. I guess keeping the site up is not a priority.
