I discovered that my Great-Great-Grandparents and my Great-Great-Great-Grandparent are both buried at the Mountain View Cemetery in Centralia, Washington. My first attempt to find there graves was unsuccessful, because I didn’t know what to look for besides their names. I What I did find was how rundown this cemetery is. There was a lot of overgrowth, damaged and broken headstones, sunken graves and trash and junk all over. Honestly it was rather depressing. I ended up making a Facebook group called Restore Mountain View Cemetery to bring attention to this and find a way to help. This place should be considered a historical cemetery and should be restored and preserved. Please feel free to to join and invite anyone you think would be interested in helping. Thank you!
Really cool place! But in very sad/depressing condition! No upkeep at all
It's peaceful and there's a lot of old trees.
My family is here it is very peaceful. And you don't get disturbed or told to leave I go here and visit my family and think alot
Huge! I can't wait to explore more. Definitely needs to be maintained better, but OMG it's so big!
