This is an amazing town with volunteers and happy organizations to plan the events all summer (and all year) long. Everyone wants folks to come and enjoy, and it's a great place to live. I feel glad to take a moment to tip a hat to the Chamber and thank them for my family to enjoy all they do!

The CB Chamber host or co-hosts most of the large annual town events on Town Hill, including the Easter Egg Hunt, Potomac River Festival, Father's Day Car Show, CB Artists Guild Regional Show, Rod Run to the Beach, Colonial Beach Water Fest, Boardwalk Arts & Crafts Festival, Colonial Beach Bike Fest, Fall Festival & Halloween Golf Cart Parade, Fall Rockfish Tournament, and Santa's Winter Wonderland Festival & Parade. The organization is Member Funded and Volunteer Driven. Without this organization, our annual festivals could not occur. Membership is affordable and includes a listing in the Colonial Beach Visitors Guide and Business Directory. Drop by 106 Hawthorn Street and visit any M, W, or F (9:00am-2:00pm) or during the 2nd Friday Art Walk each month (5:30pm-8:00pm)!

I am giving this place the worst rating I can.nAfter hearing about how the local retirees want to keep this place a small low key town but local businesses want tourism, I realise how you folks have a big job trying to get people to come here. It does not help that all the local restaurants serve real bad seafood at really high prices compaired to my home town north of Baltimore. This town would not know good seafood if it crawled up and bit them in the rear. This town does not stand on its own as a place to visit. Thats why its forced to hold events to get people to come here. Btw you can't exspect people to even consider this a beach when the shore line consists of pea gravel and small river stone. I don't ever plan on coming here again. That should make your retirees happy. Just so you know they are winning. This place lacks any real value. Good luck with your revitalization plan via events.
