Beautiful lake, just a nice facility in general. I like the fact that there's a playground for the kids. Good selection of fish to target in the lake of you're so inclined. The day we were here the bite was primarily redear sunfish A.K.A. shellcracker, with some bluegill mixed in. Past trips have seen yellow perch, largemouth bass, & blue catfish. Convenient location from Martinsville and not bad from Rocky Mount & Roanoke. We'll be back!

Wide open reservoir/lake lined with trees and walking paths. Shore fishing and dock fishing are good. Canoes & kayaks available to rent at $10/day. Large parking area and picnic areas. Nice place to spend the day. Dogs are allowed. Admission is free.
