Ballston Therapeutic Massage

I live in the area and have walked by many times so I decided to finally give it a shot. My massage therapist was great and even periodically made sure her pressure was to my liking. I got the Swedish massage and would love to try a deep tissue next time. The atmosphere was also nice with a well decorated lobby and a relaxing, dim room with relaxing music. I will definitely be back, I had a great experience.

Update: Hours after leaving the review below, the manager contacted me and offered us a free couples massage and explained that many of their customers only want a back massage rather than full-body but also said they should be asking everyone rather than assuming. We appreciated the quick and thoughtful customer service. Today, 1/17, we went back and had two new massage therapists - Rose and Karen- and again, they were excellent. The whole experience was extremely relaxing for both of us so much so that we bought a package and plan to come back for individual massages and more couples massages as well.nnMy wife and I scheduled a 60-min couple's massage with a body scrub addition on 1/1/2021. Our massage therapists- Amy and Coco- were quite good. We were really happy with the work they did. We were just really disappointed in the work they DIDN'T do. Upon entering the room, the receptionist told us that we could take our masks off while on our stomach if we wanted but that when we turned over to our backs, we'd need to put them back on. No problem - sounds good. We were thoroughly enjoying our massages when we were told we were done. The therapists had never had us turn over. No massage of our thighs, chest, face, or the front of our shoulders - essentially we were given half of a massage. When we came back out, we asked about this and the receptionist indicated that it was probably because of COVID-19. But this is the same receptionist that told us to make sure we had our masks on when we turned over during the massage. It didn't add up and quite frankly was really frustrating. I recently injured my knee and was really looking forward to some relief around my knee in particular. My wife looked at the website after we left and nowhere did it indicate that massages would be back only. Based on the quality of the massage, I would return, but based on not getting what we thought we were paying for and being given a really vague and somewhat untruthful reason for not getting a full massage, I don't think we'll be back.

Making an appointment means nothing - even when there are little to no customers in there. They had me wait over half an hour in the room and no one showed up. If you’re looking for a place to take a nap and not get interrupted at all this is the place for you but not sure $69 is worth a nap. Poor communication - seems extremely disorganized. Would not recommend - you have better luck getting off the waitlist for a Covid vaccine.

My massage therapist, Judy, was wonderful. She knew exactly where my problem areas were and focused on them. I feel a lot better and would definitely come back. Thank you!

I absolutely love this place. It is affordable and in a great location. What I love most is it is super clean, lights dim, relaxing soft music playing and very comfortable. It is super important to me that the ambience is on point when im going to get a massage, I have to be in total relaxation mode. The Red Door (now another name and triple the cost of this) is outdated, loud in the sitting area and you can even hear noises when you're getting a massage. Totally ruins it. The ladies I have had have all been great..I get a great massage and im always asked if the pressure is right. I can't recommend this place enough and will keep returning.
