Today I visited store number 72 located in Tysons Corner VA. By far this was my worst experience ever. For 10 min, the cashier was trying to see why she can't find my rewards on the system. The manager Rachel was there but she didn't even bother herself to ask what's going on( I encourage you to check your cameras). I ended up ordering my food online to be able to use my reward. When I got my order one of my two salads was frozen. At the end I tried to talk Rachel, I told her that I was excepting her to come and help the cashier. With attitude, She said I was busy with cleaning the table and I asked her which one is more important, me and the people behind me waiting to order their foods or cleaning the table? she said the tables. She was lying she was not just cleaning the table she came to the register but she didn't even care to ask what's going on!
The Covid arc is swinging down and the Corner Bakery that once was may go away if this place is any indication.nnIf Panera is your jam, you may like Corner Baker as well. In past tastings I would skip the soup and most desserts at Corner Bakery. However the seasonal treats and cream cheese brownie were usually very good. The sandwiches, salads, and pastas were my go to at Corner Bakery.nnFor this visit we went on Sunday afternoon and the mall seemed relatively busy but this eatery barely had movement. However most of what we ordered was flavorful, freshly prepared, and well made. Gone are the more fast casual plates and silverware (think Panera). Everything was instead served on paper plates or to-go containers (think KFC).nn*Side note: this location is at the main level entrance (2nd floor for this mall) and next to Maggianos and Urban Eats.nnWe each ordered a pick-two meal. Mine was bacon turkey avocado sandwich and pesto cavatappi (pasta chicken and cream sauce). It was more than enough food but they also allowed me to upgrade the chips to a mixed green salad for free! (YMMV) The taste and free upgrade earned them an extra star.nnMy son ordered a pick-two with a Caesar salad, chicken noodle soup, and chips. His salad looked a little sad (as in no color), but he enjoyed it and it seemed fresh. The soup was ok though a little odd in flavor. So minus 1 for the soup and minus 1 for paper plates with sad environment on dine-in.nnI missed the piles of fresh baked goods, large selection of desserts, inviting decor, and fresh made lemonade. With covid I can forgive all but the decor. If you have to cut back on the rows of tempting treats at the entrance, consider adding something to make the place more inviting. With a tasty new option basically next door, you should do more to entice people. BTW.. Urban Plates is across the hall and is great. You'll pay the price $ for it but I recommend giving it a go.nnNot feeling Corner Bakery? Panera is a good substitute. Try their soups, breads, cookies, and other treats but I can't support their pastas or weird tasting pizzas. If you want something hearty at Panera stick with soup, salad, or sandwich.nnThanks for reading!nWear your mask and stay safe and healthy everyone.
Tiny Anaheim Panini breakfast sandwich that shocked us! The Corner Bakery Tysons Corner is greedy. We paid $10 for the sandwich Anaheim Panini and got a tiny small mini sandwich. Greedy hospitality..Do not recommend Corner Bakery Tysons Corner.
The scampi and soup are good. The restaurant is nice and clean. The staff is friendly.
Great place and welcoming staff.
