It’s been a delight having Spence help my husband and I redecorate our home. She is a rare talent. She’s an exceptionally knowledgeable designer with a keen eye for details, color and style. But more importantly she is a highly effective communicator and skillfully transformed our living space into a warm, inviting and stylish home that works perfectly for us!

We had a fantastic experience working with Susan Dorsey and Susan Spence of Ethan Allen's store in Arlington, VA. They worked within our budget and thought of the things we hadn't. The result is a beautiful and functional living space. For the first time, we actually prefer to eat and entertain at home, rather than going out! We never could have designed our home as well ourselves. The process was very easy and they got it right the first time. Also, no interest financing for 48 months is a great benefit.

Susan Schott is a talented interior designer. She has excellent taste and is very easy to work with. She listened carefully to the vision I had for my living room and took the sample room designs that I had collected over the years and created a beautiful and unique design that was bright and light and airy, and made maximum use of a small-ish space. She thinks through the details and comes up with designs and lays out room decor in a new and fresh way. I loved many of her recommendations and plan to use her services for my dining room and family room. However, there was an issue with the area rug, but Susan reassured me that we would be able to get that resolved soon. I would highly recommend Susan!

Outstanding service, particularly when compared to its competitors. We had one glitch that was dealt with respectfully and professionally. The furniture isn’t cheap, but I’d definitely do business here again.

This may have been the worst furniture debacle I ever experienced. It took 8 months for my bed to be delivered, which I was fully willing to excuse due to COVID slowing everything down. On top of that, it took THREE different deliveries to finally get it all set up - the first time, they forgot a part, the second time they brought the WRONG part, until finally the third time was a success. Unfortunately, my apartment is small and with a half-built bed taking up the entire bedroom, I had to revert to sleeping on the couch for two weeks while they figured this out. In their defense, the customer service individuals in the store tried really hard to make everything right. But in the end, they only gave me $100 off my purchase order (which was over 6k). Sadly, while the ladies in the store were very kind, I will never buy furniture through Ethan Allen again.
