Athens Christian Church

Been to the church a few times. Mainly go out to the Cemetery where my Mother, Father, Grandparents, and Aunt are all buried. They normally keep it mowed and clean. I haven't heard of any thefts so what you leave for your loved ones should be there when you return unless it interferes with mowing season and then the will throw your items away at least they have in the past

Only know about the cemetery... my father n law is laid to rest here... quite peaceful

I can't speak on the church services here as I've never been. What I can speak on is the Cemetery out back that they are responsible for. Both my wife an I have family buried there. Today we were to bury my 33 year old sis in law that lost a long 5yr battle with brain cancer. Long story short after taking our money for the plot an burial services they left the cemetery just before the services were to start with a grave that was not finished being dug was only 2 feet deep so we were left with parking lot full of people there to attend the services with a hole that was not finished nowhere near finished and the people that were paid to do the job and gone so we had to finish digging the grave ourselves have the services and then very cover her up ourselves. This is unacceptable in many many ways Never Should this have happened unbelievable what some people are capable of
