Our first visit to the cemetery an we really enjoyed it. I wish that we had more time to spent there today. We have already discussed a return trip. This is really a nice place with lots of interesting information available about all of the people buried here. Besides Henry Clay, there are several people who I wished I had more time to visit their gravesites.nI would highly recommend that you visit here an spend some time.

THE LEXINGTON CEMETERY IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL IN THE SPRING TIME TO VISIT AND PAY YOUR RESPECT TO MANY HISTORICAL PEOPLE AND MONUMENTS... THIS HENRY CLAY MONUMENT HAD ITS COPPER GROUND BAR STOLEN OUT OF THE GROUND I NOTICED THATS USE FOR THE LIGHTNING RODS SO THE STATUE WOULD BE PROTECTED AS WELL AS THE PEOPLE AROUND IT? IT IS VERY TALL! I TOLD THE GUARD ON MY WAY OUT...

Very impressive monument for one of the greatest statesman in American history. Poor guy has a lightning rod sticking out of head though. Autumn is particularly nice in this part of the graveyard. A must see in Lexington.
