Spalding's Bakery

Visiting from out of town and it is so nice to find a local donut shop that actually makes them on site. So many have shifted to the central kitchen model and ship them to their stores. Got there early on a Friday morning and no lines. Many reviews knock them for taking cash only. Bakeries operate on pretty thin margins as it is, and anytime someone swipes a credit card it costs them money. I would rather pay cash in order to find a good local place like this rather than a national chain. Would go back for sure.

This is a Lexington Institution I've been going there since I was a child this is there second location they have been open for 50 plus years

The donuts were amazing!! I have never tasted such delicious homemade donuts before. Most important thing is to take CASH with you and to go as early as you can due to them selling out pretty fast. I tried the glazed and chocolate donuts today..me and my family absolutely loved each and every bit of them.

It is a family owned business since 1929.nOne of Lexington beloved Icones.nFresh, affordable, and delicious.nThey are known best for its range of phenomenal donuts.nI would highly recommend to visit them today.nBuy some for yourself, and treat a neighbor for some donuts.
