Such a yummy bakery. We got a chocolate muffin and a chocolate walnut brownie fresh out of the oven. The brownie was amazing. The baker was nice and offered us a wet towel to wash the kid's hands. My son still is talking about going to the star bakery. Was so yummy forgot to get a picture of the food.
Incredible pastries. YUM! Note: we thought they had egg breakfast due to some photos but there is a separate Star Restaurant that was closed. Bakery only has baked items.
This review is for the bakery. We had sweet and savory pastries and cookies. Everything was supurb. The baker was very helpful and delightful to visit with, and was knowledgeable about local attractions. I will definitely come back when in town again. (The bear claws are especially good!)
I really liked this place. I have had a lot is small town meals this week and this one was the best. It might sound weird but the food seemed cleaner, and more fresh. I think the kitchen was cleaner than most small town cafes, there was less grease/salt added and the ingredients were good quality. We had breakfast that was served promptly so we could make the next train to VC.
The food was good enough a bit over priced but I understand they only have so many months to make a living there. The young girl that was our waitress needs trained. She cleared our table, brought us menus and coffee, came back in a timely manner to get our order but after that nothing.... I had to ask twice to get silverware and napkins and had to get coffee refills ourselves. She finally brought silverware but no napkins, had to ask again for them....
