Island Lake is a simple and well kept cemetery that leaves the glitz and glamour behind. It is cared for by very committed volunteers, but does not have marble mausoleums or a sweeping view of the mountains. It has a long history in Kitsap as far as those who are buried there, but also a history of service to the community, making sure all have access to a beautiful resting place.
