Very nice cemetery with many nice tributes for veterans, notible people and other personal family tributes. This cemetery has a wonderful scenic view for scenic pictures. Although some may think that taking pictures in a cemetery is morbid, with the tributes surrounding the place itself, amplifies it's beauty more and more. For those not looking to purchase or visit a loved one, this cemetery is a historian's dream as it has many tombs with historical references dated back over 100 years.
I was in search of 2 old graves in the St George City Cemetery from the 1860s. I stopped at the office and spoke with George who was very friendly and helpful. He searched his records and found one of the two names I was searching for. He walked outside with me and directed me to the area of her gravestone.
It is 8:00 in the evening and the sprinklers go off at the cemetery. Our car was soaked; luckily the windows weren't down. It is such a beautiful little cemetery but it is hard to enjoy when the sprinklers go off during visiting hours and you are walking around. Whoever is in charge of this needs to have the sprinklers go off later. Otherwise I would have given the cemetery a higher rating.
11/10 would trip acid here and run away from the sprinklers again.
