If you want to see the real mausoleum, you must come from the yellow park trail through the fence. There are some holes and signs of no trespassing but no one was actually there. Just don't do dumb stuff. Btw, the trails were brilliant as well if you just want to hike

Are you kidding me? There were never many people visiting, usually I’d be alone in the entire section of cemetery. Now visiting is permitted only couple of hours per week, so all those people who could visit during separate days and never meet each other now will be crowded at the same day through same gates. Anyone saw crowds at the cemetery? Honestly. Except mother’s or Father’s Day? How is this make any sense?

I have been coming to Moravian since the 1970's, when my grandfather passed. It was beautiful and well-maintained. Through the 1980's, it was actually a nice place to just 'be' or even visit for the history or a drive through. Flash forward to the 2000's and now with both my parents buried there, I regret having made the choice to select this as my their final resting place. Crab grass abounds, construction is endless, and grave sites are left un-mowed for weeks on end. In addition, little or nothing appears to have been done to deter the deer from eating any flowers that are left behind. This sad state of affairs has only gotten worse since my father's death in 2009. Moravian Cemetery gets a 3-3.5 for overall maintenance of the roads and main building area, but a 1-2 for the way they've let the grounds deteriorate over the years. In contrast, my in-laws are buried in Linden, NJ on the public portion of Rosedale/Rosehill Cemetery. The condition there is far better and the staff is very attentive (even though they are under construction as well).nn8/27/19 Update:nI wrote a note to the staff regarding the condition of my parents grave site. They were professional and courteous and very responsive. In fact, they corrected the condition (a drop in grade of about a foot and a half) within 24 hours. This raises my rating by 1 star. The fact remains that I've needed to bring my own equipment and even top soil there just to clean up and groom the area. More proactive maintenance is needed throughout the entire cemetery, including emptying the trash receptacles and picking up old, spent flowers (the ones that outlast the deer!).
