Tons of unique and limited addition guitars, basses and other instruments. The place is decently sized with everything organized into their own areas (guitars, basses, drums, etc.) An acoustic room and an amp room to test out the sound of the instrument you're looking at. Also a variety of effects pedals to chose from, reasonable and negotiable prices. Also if you're looking to build you own guitar then Motor City is def the place to go.
Motor city guitar has huge inventory, great prices. These guys know what they are doing. Jason was extremely helpful when we spoke on.phone and when we arrived in person. We are now repeat customers.
organization is somewhat confusing but if you visit often enough you’ll figure it out. I hadn’t been in 6 years and still remembered where the things I needed were. Trust worthy people run and work at the store. They seem to only be interested in classic rock and whatever else gets played on WRIF these days which is generally a red flag but they are very knowledgeable about the music and the guitars and unpretentious about it in my experiences.
This place is great. My kids have been taking lessons here for some time and its always neat to hear everyone trying out the instruments and watching the demos on their stage. These guys know their stuff, hands down over the competition. Do you want to buy something from the guys who work in the craft or some kid who got a job at a franchise music store and couldn't tell you the difference between acoustic guitars? Here you'll get the best advice and get the right piece for what you need.
