I have the upmost respect for Mr.and Mrs. Scruggs they are some of the nicest people you'll every meet. When it came time for me and my husband to start thinking about our final resting place would be the choice was easy being from this area all my life I knew this would be the perfect place it is beautiful, the grounds are well keep, and it's watched over really well nobody is gonna vandalize are mess nothing up (we do live in a cruel mean world). It's a beautiful place overlooking the mountains.Mr.&Mrs Scruggs were so nice and tried to meet all our needs from our marker to our plots. I would recommend this Cemetery to anyone. My great Grandma &Grandpa, Aunt and Uncle are buried there as well. Always has been a wonderful place to visit your loved ones and the owners are so polite and kind for as far back as I can remember. So I don't understand all the mean and negative comments. Just look around at some of the other Cemeteries in this area and you can see and feel the difference that caring people make. Thank You!!!!!

One of the nicest and most beautiful place for your loved ones. The people there are absolutely wonderful in your time of sorrow. I highly recommend them in your time of need.

Sadly, I cannot personally recommend Coleman Cemetery. The cemetery has always been beautiful and well-kept. My husband and I purchased two lots there in bsck in 1999. The owner at that time (the current owner’s father) and his wife were lovely and pleasant to deal with. They took good care of the grounds, and never felt the need to guard it by showing up and parking nearby when I was there. In fact, the cemetery office overlooks the entire property. The grounds can always be watched unobtrusively from there.nHowever, things have changed. My husband died a year ago. In that year, every time I visit, the current owner sits nearby in a black truck, watching. My most recent experience visiting my husband’s grave occurred April 6, 2020. The gate was open. I had just driven in. As I was getting out of my car, the owner drove his truck up behind me, The wife got out and for some reason began angrily shouting at me that I could not be there. I asked why, and she said because of Covid, (Covid at that date did not require staying in-place, only recommending social distancing and face coverings.)nAt the time of my arrival there was no one else there, except my daughter, who had driven me there. I explained I had come a long way and just wanted to walk over and visit the grave. I am 80 years old and disabled, so I opened the trunk to get out a folding chair. I wanted tonbe able sit by the grave, as I cannot stand very long. The owner again began shouting and even cursing, saying folding chairs are not allowed, not now not ever. I didn't argue. and put the chair back in my car. I walked across the uneven ground to my husband’s grave and knelt in the wet grass. The owner then drove his truck up near the grave and informed me they were calling the police. And they did!nThe dispatch call they placed said there was a “disturbance” at the cemetery. (I have a copy). The owners also reported I had a dog which was not allowed. I had lost my beloved dog, who had been my onlyncompanion, to illness the week before. I had his ashes with me in a little box and had laid them on my husband’s grave while I knelt there. Surely, that was not what they were referring to?nThe police arrived. They spoke first with the owner, then with me They told me that since the couple were the owners, they couldn’t ask them to leave. The officer said that in any other situation, he would tell me just to take my business elsewhere, but obviously that was not an optionnfor me in this situation. So, as far as the police were concerned, I could stay as long as I wanted and visit my husband, and they left.nI was very upset. It really makes me anxious and sad have to deal with this kind of drama in order to visit my husband’s grave. I would not hold a grudge against these owners, if they would only try speaking kindly to people in a situation like this and giving them a little privacy.nAgain, this is my personal experience I would never consider disturbing my darling husband in his resting place, but had he and I known back in 1999 this would happen, we would NEVER have chosen Coleman Cemetery.

The Scrugg's have always been kind, thoughtful and respectful to my family and myself. They go above and beyond to make sure everyone's loved ones are well looked after. My husband and I both have plots there and are extremely grateful knowing once we are gone. Our resting site will be cared for and looked after as well as can be. Our marker is absolutely perfect. Simple but elegant. Mr. Scrugg's went out of his way on numerous occasions to offer any and all assistance he could to make sure we got exactly everything we wanted! Him and his wife are both amazing. They sincerely care for all their clients and their families. They go above and beyond to make sure the cemetery is clean and well kept. I will always recommend them to anyone in need of a plot or marker.
