As a Diamond Status member, I was disappointed in the hotel. Even more disappointed that I used my points to get a free night.nCons:n1. Coffee bar was in the bathroom, behind the door. It appears that 3 shelves were installed in the wall for the coffee bar. I'm sorry, the bathroom is that last place that coffee or anything else for human consumption needs to be housed.n2. While in the bathroom, I turned around and found a roach crawling across the back of the door. This was notice right before we check out.n3. Since the duvet is heavy, we pull it back and used the blanket from the closet. The next morning we noticed it had several brown spots on it. Some were 2 -3 inches in diameter and covered a large area. We got in late and the lighting wasn't the best and didn't notice it.n4. I used 44,000 plus points to use this room at no cost. Bummer!!!!nnPros:n1. Room was clean.
Clean, quiet but didn't like the quality of coffee in the room. I enjoy my coffee at night while i watch tv. Other than that i enjoyed my stay.
Nice comfort bed, clean room and good breakfast.
The room was very nice and appeared to be well sanitized per Covid protocol. However, I did want a contactless stay and had a few cliches. First, I checked in on-line and received a digital key to my room. However, when I entered the room it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and it was suppose to be a non-smoking room. This resulted in a trip to the desk, where there were several other people, to get another room. Then, the key to our second room wouldn't work so we had to go back to the desk to get another key. Again, more contact both at the desk and in the hallways. Breakfast is not currently being served but they did offer brown bags with a few breakfast items (yogurt, granola bar, water, and apple) which was appreciated, however the staff person handing out the bags was not wearing a mask. We would stay at this Hampton again if in the area because it was very clean and in a good location, but the stay was not contactless as we had expected.
We can’t say enough positive things about the staff and facilities! We booked through our Hilton’s Honors account. When we arrived, we found the grounds to be well-maintained and exterior of the building to be in good condituon. All of the staff that we encountered during our stay wore masks correctly, and were friendly, efficient, and polite. One really nice touch were the home baked cookies served in individual bags that were on the entrance table each evening. The lobby area is open, bright, and extremely clean with modern decor.nWe had trouble getting into our assigned king room... totally our fault! The general manager, Chaquana Whitlock, immediately upgraded us to the largest king suite I have ever seen! She came up to check the door on the first room just as we were about to open the door to our new suite. When we realized that we were the issue rather than the door, we offered to return to the original room since we hadn’t broken the clean seal on the larger suite. She wouldn’t hear of it and insisted we keep the upgraded room!nWe call that above and beyond service! Thank you! Employees like Chaquana and the gentleman who checked us out on Saturday are what make Hilton our favorite hotel chain. We loved the suite! HUGE! The bed was beyond comfortable, great water pressure in the shower, two completely separate sink areas-didn’t have to share! Again I will mention the added attention to cleanliness and sanitization!nWe did not check out the included breakfast either morning, so I can’t review the food.nWe highly recommend staying at this particular hotel the next time you travel through Burlington or Elon, NC!
