Capitol Grocery

What a wonderful, cute oasis of a place nestled in the middle of a cool, quaint neighborhood near downtown Baton Rouge. This place has so much charm and character. It's not only a grocery store, but they also have a small café and serve breakfast and lunch.nnWhile traveling on business last month, I made it a habit to come by every day and pick up lunch for me and several co-workers. This place has great salads, Po Boys, and even a daily lunch special. The food is reasonably priced and the two ladies who run the place are super nice and engaging. I highly recommend you stop by to say hello and maybe even buy something.

While Spanish Town Market has been around for ages, my first experience was absolutely incredible. The new owner Travis is very friendly and makes EXCELLENT burgers. I recommend them to my co-workers, who then placed an order for quite a few others. Everyone enjoyed their food and ordered again the next day.
