I've been dealing with Hiawassee Hardware for over 20 years. I buy all my lumber there and it's still tolerable but the store is a poorly staffed disaster. I'm usually in there 15+ times a I don't need assistsnce, I need supplies which are poorly organized and usually sold out for many weeks. They always blame it on one employee trust just quit.nI'll buy lumber there but I won't be going back inside. The aggravation isn't worth it.
No help in store if you need it. Prices are high. Lumber yard is decent
Came in to look for a bolt to fix a door. Five workers walking around and not one bothered to ask if I needed help! Get up to the counter and the lady told me she needed a price on the bolts I had picked out! Really! If I had of had help like I needed to begin with, I would have known that! Very disappointed! Next time I'll drive the extra 15 minutes and go to Home Depot or Lowe's!
They have lost the local community respect they once had. Now you are no more than a number.
A real nice hardware store that has so much to offer.
