Cake Envy

While Cake Envy's craftsmanship is stunning, our experience was disappointing. Two weeks before the wedding, we were not sure we would even get the cake. We ordered the cake 14 months before the wedding. Thought the business would have reached out to us at least 30 days before the wedding to confirm the delivery, but never heard from Cake Envy. Started reaching out to her 2.5 weeks before the wedding and received no response. Sent multiple emails and texts, stil no response. The owner has since informed me the phone number was a land line that can.t receive texts. Wish we had correct contact info before all this. Finally posted a message on Cake Envy's FB page, and only then did she reply. Btw, she had a public message on her page, when paraphrased said, she was very busy and would not have time to respond to brides questions about the status of their cakes until it is their wedding week.. When she finally responded, she said she had not received any of our prior messages. When she delivered the cake, she was rude and made several rude comments about the cake table being too far from the door, she was the only one who could place flowers on the cake etc. She asked where the flowers of the cake were and I told her they were arriving at 1.00. She seemed agitated they were not there to be placed and wanted to utilize other flowers we had for the reception that were not the right color. She was aggravated when we said no, there were others to be used. Details matter after months of preparation. While the cake was beautiful and she added a Styrofoam 4th tier (non edible), it did not taste like what we sampled when we ordered it. The taste was flat like it had no vanilla or almond flavoring. She says it was the same recipe, but it didn.t taste like it to us.The extremely slow response time caused us a lot of stress leading up to the wedding. The cake flavor was disappointing too. I.m sure others are happy with what they got, but when we looked at all the factors of the experience we had, the taste, the slow response, the rudeness on the delivery day, we were not a fit with this vendor.

Natalie is a PHENOMENAL cake artist! I'm a wedding photographer, and I love working with her. She's so creative, and her cakes are beautiful AND delicious (can't the same for all wedding cakes I've tasted). I can't recommend her enough!

Natalie made not only my dream cake come to life but my husband's too!! She was friendly yet professional, very knowledgeable, prompt, AND the cake was AMAZING!!! I would 10/10 reccomended her if you're looking for someone to bring your dream to life!

I seriously scroll through your page all the time! I’m obsessed! I’ve seen a lot of pretty cakes since I started in bridal 5 years ago but yours have always stood out. Something I can’t place my finger on just makes them SO special (other than your insane hyper realistic grooms cakes/ barrel/yeti/golf bag cakes which speak for themselves on why they’re so dang special and cool). But they’re SO gorgeous and after I won the cake contest and got to try the cake I was a true believer lol! No Baker I’ve met has had cakes so gorgeous and delicious. Like usually they’re pretty but dry. Or lack they flavor they’re calling it. Or they’re yummy but don’t get crazy when asking for design requests. But you’re so talented! It’s crazy what pieces of art you can make from Cake and wholly keep the quality of the cake itself in the process! ud83dudc96

Natalie was so great to work with and created the most beautiful and delicious cakes. I am not a huge cake person but her cakes are AMAZING. We had so many guests tell us how much they enjoyed the cake. The tasting was so much fun and she helped us create the exact design and perfect (unique) flavor combinations. She is so talented and easy to communicate with. Thanks so much! We can't wait for our year anniversary!
