This place looked elegant and menu had good soup/sandwich options, but we over-heard that there was a 45min wait for food (which is absolutely no problem if that is the case, we just need to know to make a call on whether we can wait). When we asked the manager to confirm the situation, he was the most rude and obnoxious person we have ever encountered in an establishment - and totally unnecessary. And coming from NYC to this quiet, friendly town, that’s a special achievement. Pity because everything else looked good.
Good food and friendly service, albeit slow. They were oddly out of ketchup when we visited.
The crab bisque was very rich and delicious. We had a nice lunch out on the sidewalk and it was very pleasant. Highly recommend. The waitress was so nice and very polite. Thank you for a nice visit!
I was so disgusted to walk in and smell cigarettes throughout the entire dining room. For a relatively expensive dining experience, there should not be cigarette smoking in the building. Never mind the amount of health and safety codes that is breaking. I am disappointed that the owners of this business condone this or find this acceptable. Obviously the business is not being ran correctly. I apologize about putting the business down, but cigarettes being smoked inside a restaurant is absolutely horrific.
Great service. Good coffee for you frou frou coffee people. Gorgeous old building with tin ceilings. Good food!
