So, the girl who checked me in was very nice and helpful. However, the AC was not working in my room. It was soo hot I was sweating. I tried to deal with it but after an hour or so I spoke to the front desk. They were helpful and sent maintenance over pretty quickly. The maintenance man was friendly and got the AC to work, though it took a while for it to cool down. The whole process took several hours before the room was cool enough for me to sleep. I wasn't offered a discount or anything for the inconvenience which I didn't ask for, but it should have been offered out of courtesy. My giving a two star is simply a personal review of my experience. It wasn't a good stay for me. Despite my experience, I would recommend the hotel for others. The property is very nice. The room was clean. There was good energy. There were several good food options in the immediate area. Those positives didn't outbalance the inconvenience for me, though, so my return is questionable.

I travel by myself w a small dog. I feel comfortable as there are usually other people around. I also like the idea of dining facilities, ability to walk the grounds and the proximity to I95

I have the pleasure of an extended stay here at VC. I really love this place! The staff has truly been nothing short of amazing. Taylor - the Front Desk manager is always so warm and inviting. Mike the GM is incredibly helpful and a pleasure to work with. The restaurant is great too. I haven't tried a dish I haven't liked yet. Aside from the staff, the hotel property is beautiful and there are so many things to enjoy here. 10/10 recommend!

Outstanding value. Not far from downtown Richmond and other points of interest. Skip the in house restaurant but you can't miss otherwise with this hotel. Nice grounds and very convenient to the interstate.
