Onondaga Valley Cemetery

I grew up in this area. This used to be a peaceful quiet Cemetery. Beautiful woods behind it etc. My parents are buried there. Now when it go there are people blasting music with every disgusting word. Drinking alcohol and trash left all over. I wish I could move my parents but I do not recommend if you want a quiet place to reflect. I cant believe we now need rules or something to learn how to act in a cemetary

I'm not sure why all the negative reviews but I think this cemetary is beautiful. The area behind the cemetary is an excellent hiking spot with a beautiful stream, lush vegetation and many old growth trees. There were landscapers working today and though some spots are a bit overgrown, to me it adds to the scenery. I will be returning quite often this spring and summer and would recommend it to those who appreciate the peacefulness that old cemeteries have to offer

I thought this was a beautiful cemetery. Sure there were some tree limbs but it wasn't an issue. The trees are incredible and I thought it was well maintained.

So beautiful maybe not worth dying to get in but thankfully your allowed to visit.

Visited today May 18, 2018. The front lawns near the road are mowed to make it look like it is wellnMaintained but actually that is the only lawn that has been mowed. The grass at my parents wasnOVER their upright headstone. So unkempt is twisted my ankle tripping on a very large tree limbnWhich was not visible because the grass was so tall. There also seems to be numerous tree limbsnEverywhere on the ground.
