Such a profound place, but poorly kept, and nondescript. Wish it was better kept.

I have driven past this place so many times over the last 35 years. I never really paid attention to the little cemetery/ burial ground. I always thought it was odd to have a burial ground in the middle of The notorious Hunts point Ave. I imagined that it had to have some historical value. on 11.24.2018 I was in the area with my 360 camera and did see that it was nice, quite and clean. I decided to take some pictures and post them to facebook and google maps to bring some attention to it. after Googling it I found out who Joseph Rodman Drake, was and that it was also a historic slave burial ground. I am so thankful to have had a chance to vist this place. I am looking forward to brining people here to see it and honor the people that are buried there to continue there legacy. I will definitely be researching to find out his is buried there. I thank everyone who helped to preserve this place. i strongly recommend that if you are ever in the Bronx new york, that you stop by and see this place. not just drive by, but get out and put your feet on this sacred ground. and honor them by telling someone else about it.
