Embassy Suites by Hilton Omaha La Vista Hotel & Conference Center

This particular Embassy Suites has definitely taken a turn. It used to be a good one.nnIf good hotels pay attention to detail, this was opposite. The pool (which has no hot tub btw) was super dirty. We pulled out piles of grime and hair, there was a dark, 6” ring of grime around the edge of the pool, and the water was so dirty it was hard to see our feet.nnWe had been promised connected rooms, which we didn’t get, and we weren’t able to check in until 4:30 even though check in is supposed to be 4:00 (and we were told over the phone we could check in early by 1:45). The clocks in both rooms were wrong, which made my mom think the kids were up past they’re bedtime.nnThe lady started setting up the drink & snack area 5 minutes after it was supposed to have opened, and she complained about being the only staff available to help.nnOverall, all the staff (including the general manager) except for one lady seemed frustrated with or disinterested in their jobs. It seems like quality has to start with the management.

Nice hotel on the outside. I had a reservation for two nights and on my second day in the room I was gone until 6 pm and my room remained untouched from housekeeping. Guess you have to stay 5+ nights for room service. I also asked them to make my sofa bed while I was out which they said they would and they tossed a linen bag in my room to do it myself. The complimentary drinks are only basic drinks. Won't be staying again.

Stopped in to have a drink. This place always has a good smell throughout the whole place. Erin and Stephanie were the best bartenders. They didn't over serve my alcohol, and my food was hot and delicious. And they had a good sense of humor which is lacking in today's world.

Very quiet and clean. We were less than pleased with the breakfast provided. Due to COVID there are basically zero of the typical amenities available. We would have preferred to stay someplace with a lower price and spent the extra cash on real food. I would recommend offering a breakfast coupon to the local restaurants across the street, instead of the sad box we got.
