Great stuff & prices, benefits the community not executives! The furniture annex is like walking thru memory lane. Limited hours but I can understand
Love a good deal. Seems like every time I stop in lately they have had clothing deals. Plenty of housewares, linens, kitchen items all in good to excellent condition at a reasonable price and supporting a good cause. The furniture annex is in the same strip mall just a few doors down. Friendly staff.
Like most second hand stores, you need to stop in a few times to find something that fits your needs. I've found great deals on shelves and delft there. I've yet to find a couch there when I was looking for one.nnAre some prices higher than expected? Probably. And others are lower than expected. It's the same at Goodwill and other charity donation shops. The benefit here is that it benefits a local charity that is here in DuPage County, working with your neighbors.nnIn terms of customer service, I believe most who work here and its sister store are volunteers. Retail isn't their full-time job. I am not always greeted on the way in but have always gotten help when I ask.nnStop in when you have a furniture need if you are in town. Ten minutes can get you a great deal once and awhile.
For the person putting up bad reviews, this place donates all proceeds to YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES. That’s why one should shop there. It’s all VOLUNTEERS . I’ve had all good experiences. Remember we all have a bad day, point the finger at yourself and ask when was I rude to someone. It could also be your interpretation because your standards of service are too high. I’d like to hear exact stories so I could judge
We don't get in the area often, but love visiting Discoveries when we can. We always find nice treasures here. The prices are good at the resale shop. However, the furniture resale in the same plaza is priced like a boutique -- way too high!
