Quickly seated upon arrival. The busboy provides us with water as soon as we were seated and the server (David) was welcoming, friendly and prompt to take our order. Our food was hot (and yummy!) and David was attentive, providing refills on coffee. The busboy was quick to refill our waters too. The bathroom was clean and the restaurant was clean too. All staff were wearing their masks and there is plexiglass between booths. Guests who are seated at tables, are spread out, providing social distancing. My husband and I were very happy with our visit.
Anyone who has not been to Huck Finns probably figures it is a greasy spoon type restaurant. I have had breakfast, lunch, dinner and an extremely late night snack here. All the food has been good. From the breakfast omelets, to hamburgers and sandwiches to full dinner, with soup and salad and dessert. I like their meat loaf, and turkey, and beef with mashed potatoes. They recently started offering wine and beer. The servers are always friendly and they never rush you out. Great place to meet up with a friend to talk.
I was told by somebody that they had really good potato pancakes but they were just frozen hashbrowns dropped in hot oil. Not like homemade potato pancakes at all. They tasted awful. Please(If you want some really good potato pancakes go down the street to the original pancake house. They're amazing!) However the service was very good. To be fair, I will probably go back and have something else from the menu and update my review.
It was busy but we were able to get seated after 10-15 minutes no big deal. The server was kind, the food was great, and the place is very nice. It’s my second time here for breakfast, I like it.
I loved it here! First time here the wait was about 40mins. I had a big group. Even though the restaurant was busy the crew was amazing especially our waiter such great service. And food was outstanding, I was surprised with how big the plates were. Worth the wait.
