I visited the store yesterday afternoon with my mom and sister and worked with Kim. We were on a tight budget and needed a new sofa ASAP as we just moved into the area and our current furniture is old, broken and outdated. Kim was absolutely amazing! She took her time and showed us a few different pieces while taking notes about some of the other items we were looking at. We found the perfect piece for the right price on clearance and will have it in just a few days! I did not think it was possible to find a quality sofa at an affordable price available for delivery within just a few days but that’s exactly what we got! Thank you, Kim! Very happy with our purchase at the Arlington Heights showroom! I can't say enough about how great the Walter E. Smithe sales staff is. The manager and assistant manager were very helpful and friendly. We had spoken to them over the phone prior to our visit and our salesperson had prospective choices ready which made our decision very easy. We have bought from them before and will continue to do so in the future. We left the store feeling very satisfied with our purchase and can't wait for the delivery! (Also nice to see how serious they are about addressing the virus for in-store visits. I felt safe.)
Designing rooms with a specialist from W.E.S. is clearly better than just picking out furniture in a store, and it was about the same price (which surprised us). We had excellent and expert service, and the showroom is beautiful.
Outstanding selection of home furnishings, beautiful pieces. Covid protocols like temperature checks make it feel like a safe location to take your time and browse. Many items deeply discounted for those looking to score a deal. Sales associates are a little clingy but very helpful with design choices as they seem trained well. Great place for folks looking to add stylish items to their decor.
We came in last night because another store (which will remain nameless) called us the day before a scheduled delivery, and the day after our 3rd payment, that our sofa was discontinued.nnSo we came in with a budget in mind (a bit on the low end at Smithe) looking for options. Denise spent some time with us, and found us the perfect piece, which happened to be on clearance and landed right onto our target price.nnWe retired our previous Smithe sofa last month, after 30 years. We expect our kids will fight over the new one sometime after we're gone...nnAnd on top of that, we got some nifty 75th Anniversary face masks! ;-)
